"It's very important that we re-learn the art of resting and relaxing. Not only does it help prevent the onset of many illnesses that develop through chronic tension and worrying; it allows us to clear our minds, focus, and find creative solutions to problems"- Thich Nhat Hanh
Project 365: #29
While rushing around today, and everyday, I have become more aware of my surroundings. I was running late for an appointment, but in my haste, I noticed this statue, which I have walked past hundreds of times before and never noticed it! It made me just want to sit down under the flowering tree and admire the view! It did make me think that sometimes in all our rushing around, we need to rest and relax, and clear our minds. When we are so busy always thinking of the next thing to do, and worrying about things, there is less time to focus on what is important and what needs to be accomplished. Relaxing helps to put things into perspective, and helps us realise that worrying gets us nowhere. We need to focus all that energy into faith going forward, and with that comes peace.
