"Green is the prime color of the world, and that from which its loveliness arises" - Pedro Calderon de la Barca
Project 365: #26
This is the view from the parking lot of our grocery shop down the road - who would think that we live in a city? We really do, and although we are in the suburbs, we are not right on the outskirts. One thing I am amazed about, is how the green areas are really protected here. In the distance you can see the recreational forest that is across the road from our house. In between is a field, currently growing a new crop. On the other side is the suburb tennis club and athletics club and track. I think that over the eons, people have learnt the upliftment that green brings, and so maintain and revere it here, because it lasts for only four to five months. You may not even park on the grass verges without incurring a fine!
The other aspect of green is of course, recycling and sustainability...to the right of this picture are the glass recycling bins, and the clothing dropoff points. So, I am reminded to enjoy each day of green, and all the loveliness that arises from it!
