Project 365: #57
I could smell summer today, with the scents of all the flowers wafting on the breeze. Our first real summer day with perfect weather, warm temperatures, a slight breeze and most importantly, blue skies! I had the opportunity to meet a friend for lunch at a restaurant on the Maschsee, how blessed we have been to live in such a beautiful place...especially in summer. I think that summer dulls all the memories of how it is not nice in winter!

Pier 51 restaurant over the lake...awesome lunch venue!

Just looking at the lake did make me think of my childhood, with my dad taking me sailing with him at all of two or three years old, and even capsizing, adding to the adventure. I lived in such a secure home that I did think that life would be sailing into perfect weather of quietude and peace...not knowing that certainly would not be true! But, then I think my parents did an awesome job, providing me with the sense that life would be good, and certainly would be what I made of it. Also that in the midst of storms, you can always find refuge and perspective, moving forwards with inner peace.
