"Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky" - Rabindranath Tagore
Project 365: #18
I woke up today to the sound of rain. Rainy days are always good for catching up with everything that has been put off...especially on Sundays, when there are so many distractions around outside...and especially in Spring, when outside is calling all the time! The sound of rain was intermingled with happy bird chatter, and church bells. I will really miss this calling to worship on Sundays - although I am very pleased that I am not a direct neighbour....the bells can be VERY loud!
Sundays are always a day of reflection for me, I do like to look around and admire the beauty in the small things. I LOVE the smell of rain, and smells always bring back memories. Afterall, life is a series of intertwined events, with memories triggered by smells, sounds, sights. I love the rain too, it washes away all the dust, leaving everything green and refreshed.
"Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams" - Ashley Smith
Rain always makes me remember when our garden flooded in heavy rains when the girls were little. They were so excited that we had a huge big pond in the backyard! Out came their wellies and matching umbrellas. The sandpit was even transformed into a boat, much to their delight.
My wish for the girls, is that they will always live life to the fullest, enjoying each moment, smelling the rain, feeling the wind and fighting for their dreams.
