"You can have more than one home. You can carry your roots with you, and decide where they grow" - Henning Mankell
With all the forests around, there are obviously thousands of trees. Most of these trees seem to have fairly shallow roots, and with high winds and stormy weather, the trees often fall over, exposing the intricate patterns of roots that had been their life-line. Sadly, they can't just pic themselves up and re-root where they want to, so usually dry out - providing food and refuge for little creatures, and beauty in the landscape. We are fortunate that we can move our roots with us, and decide where they grow. It is not always easy, but a privilege to have the choice.
