Day 339: Exploring Buttermilk Falls

"I love the sounds and the power of pounding water, whether it is the waves or a waterfall." - Mike May

Project 365: #339

The weather has been so nice that Nic and I decided to get up early on Saturday, and walk to Buttermilk Falls before it became too hot. It was the most awesome walk, we have had a little rain, so the rivers are flowing nicely, providing beautiful scenery, and sounds! The gurgling of the water over the rocks takes me back to carefree childhood days holidaying at Nyanga, Zimbabwe, and playing for hours in the rock pools below water falls. Nic and I even enjoyed an early morning swim in the falls and pool, which we also shared with some doggies being taken for a walk! Refreshing start to the day! We are blessed to live in such a beautiful area.
