"The first fall of snow is not only an event, it is a magical event. You go to bed in one kind of a world and wake up in another quite different, and if this is not enchantment then where is it to be found?" - J.B. Priestley
Project 365: #272
This is pretty much what we woke up to on Saturday morning. We have been waiting the whole season for snow, and it did not disappoint us! It was truly magical, especially as we had no idea what we were in for, as the snow did not let up the whole day - giving us almost 30 inches! It is unbelievable how it completely transformed the world from colours to black and white, with an enchanting purity and stillness! It is amazing to experience each season and what it brings, it helps to tell the time, and know that that there is a season for everything!
'There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.'
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (NIV)
